Danny is marred to Dianne and they live in Durham. They have two sons and four grandchildren. Their oldest son lives in Elizabeth City and is an attorney. The youngest son is in sales and lives in the Myrtle Beach area.

Danny entered the Army in 1966 and served for nine years prior to entering school to prepare for ministry. He is a graduate of Baptist Bible Institute (now Florida Baptist College) with his degree in Theology, he received his BA from Dallas Baptist University, and received his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Having  pastored Southern Baptist Churches for more than thirty years, he served churches in Florida, Texas, Kentucky, and North Carolina.

Danny has worked as a church consultant since 1991, when selected to with the Convention as a church consultant with plateaued and declining churches. In 1998, he resigned from his position as a pastor and launched his first business, Relationship Dynamics. In 2002 he accepted a position with John Maxwell's INJOY Stewardship Services as a senior church Consultant, and he worked nationally with a wide variety of churches and pastors, helping them develop in the areas of leadership and stewardship. In 2006 Danny left INJOY and launched his second company, Glover Consulting Services, and offers consulting in the areas of leadership, stewardship, organizational design and management, and relationship / team building.

In October 2006, he was retained as a consultant with B.B.A. to conduct an evaluation of the viability of the Association. Then, in 2007, he agreed to serve as our part- time Director in order to help us implement needed changes focused on the Association, added greater to member churches while investing more of the funding into Kingdom ministry.
